Hot Mango Habanero BBQ Sauce

10 mins

2 Cups

Introduction

After the last batch of my Pulled Pork with accompanying Mango Habanero Salsa. I got to thinking about making my own BBQ sauce. I generally use Stubb's Sweet Heat along with Sweet Baby Ray's Wing Sauce to dress up my Pork before it hits the oven. I have only done a minimal amount of research into different recipes for BBQ sauce on the inter webs and think I have a good general Idea for what I want to do for this.

Hot Mango Habanero BBQ Sauce

  • Chop Mangos and Habanero peppers

  • add to a blender or food processor along with Tomato Sauce reduce down all of the Habanero pieces

  • Add to Sauce pan and mix in Brown sugar, Maple Syrup, Rice Vinegar, Onion Powder, Garlic Powder, Salt, Black Pepper, and Chile Powder

  • Place Sauce pan on medium heat and bring to light boil and back off the heat. Let simmer for 10-15 minutes
